The Norwich terrier is the smallest of the terriers,
full-grown weighing 10 to 12 pounds. Spunky, sturdy, and strong, the Norwich is
a true terrier. Their playfulness, courageousness,
and curiosity is loved by owners and never allows for a dull moment. They are
great with children and usually good with other pets.
Despite their petite
size, like all terriers, the Norwich was bred for work. They are active and
will need to release energy outdoors. Apartment living is okay, providing sufficient
exercise is given. Short walks or romps around the yard will suffice.
The breed is considered hypoallergenic, although some
shedding will still occur. Baths should be given as needed and some minor
trimming of the coat will be required.
They are expected to live between 12 to 15 years.
