Italian Greyhound Puppies for Sale

All available puppies pictured below are here in Oxford, Massachusetts

The Italian Greyhound is a small companion friend, usually weighing around 8 pounds full-grown. Their body is long and lean giving the breed a very graceful ballerina like appeal.

This breed is very affectionate and loves being with people. They are good with children but often recommended for the elderly. They are eager to please their owner which can help in the training process. Yet, their eagerness makes them very vulnerable to the tone of voice used towards or around them.

The breed is very sensitive to its surrounding. It is not unusual for them to become cold. Sweaters are recommended in the winter. They are also sensitive to harsh noises around them; loud bangs can frighten them easily.

The Italian Greyhound is unusual in that it requires little to no grooming, yet is considered a hypo-allergenic breed. Baths should only be given as needed and the pup should be quickly towel dried afterwards.

The breed has the nickname, "Iggy" plural, "Iggies" for short.

Their life expectancy is 12 to 15 years.
